General Information:  All students are encouraged to participate in the parade (Duck Walk) which will begin at Johnson Hall and end in the Matthew Knight Arena.  Graduates and their guests are encouraged to visit the Grad Fest Plaza on 13th Street near the arena.  There are no tickets required for our ceremony or the University Graduation Celebration.  For our ceremony, guest seating is first-come, first-served, and there is no limit on the number of guests students can invite.  Please plan accordingly in case of rain as our ceremony is an outdoor venue.  A special seating area will be provided for guests with mobility impairments and stamina limitations.  Graduates will sit in the center section of seats in the rows nearest the stage.

Psychology's ceremony takes place at 3pm, after the School of Journalism and Communication's ceremony, so seating may not be available until approximately 2:15.  A short program will open with welcoming remarks from our department head, Dr. Lou Moses.  He will be followed by guest speakers, recognition of Master's and Ph.D. recipients and candidates, and then presentation of diplomas to each undergraduate.  Our ceremony usually lasts about an hour and a half, and light refreshments will be served before the ceremony.
